So inefficient and incompetent that you would not want any level of government having control over your health care, right?
Lets discuss inefficiency and incompetency for a minute. We do not use horse and buggy as our form of transportation, because it is inefficient compared to the automobile. Same with coal powered train compared to there diesel and electric counterparts, coal is just inefficient. With incompetency, it is hard to last in a business environment if you are incompetent. So we rid ourselves of things that are inefficient and incompetent. So why not the government? I would propose that everyone be allowed to have a tax deductible, tax free(growth) Medical Savings Account. People could then buy a high deductible (you decide how much out of pocket money you will spend) Health Insurance with an upper limit of say $100,000 limits. This would give the insurance company a limited liability and they could plan for the expenses. They you buy a $10,000,000 catastrophic policy with a $100,000 deductible. This would be very cheep because few would file claims. Allow the person to define what is covered such as a homeowners insurance or car insurance and allow you to purchase across state lines.
