| | Working in a Health Spa | | I've worked in one of the most highly regarded private spa in the Philippines. It is a triple A class status. There, the job was multi-tasking where, aside from doing body works such as swedish massage, deep tissue massage and Hot Stone Therapy, I also worked as one of their receptionists. In order to cope up with stress, we do YOGA on a daily basis except, of course, if you're in a scheduled treatment. The job per se is exhausting, but believe it or not, it can also help you grow spiritually. The best part of my job is working with celebrities and high-society people. I thought I can only see them on TV! Guess I was wrong. | |
| | Would You Make A Difference, If You Had The Chance? | | First, I would like to issue an apology to my friends here for my lengthy absence during the past several weeks. I can't tell you how much I missed you all! So now I'll tell you why I haven't been here.I've gone back to school! I'm very excited about it, and I've been there for nearly 4 weeks now.I love it! I learn something new every day, and it's so cool! Last time, my favorite class was Swedish (Swedish massage is what you usually get from a spa, between mud wraps and steam baths) and my least favorite was Anatomy and Physiology. Now, A&P is my favorite, and I HATE Swedish class. My classmates are nice enough. Some are better than others. There are 22 of us, and it's like a kindergarten class; you know, where you stay with the same 20-something people all day, and different teachers come to your classroom, and there are cubbyholes on one wall. And no kidding about the cubbies, either! (No, we don't sit at long lunch tables, we go our separate ways; and I don't even have to raise my hand and ask to go to the restroom!)I can't believe how much more organized I've become, too! | | Keep learning..do you think I'm crazy? | | Phewww....it has been very busy schedule for me for the last 2 months. Celebrating Eid, visiting hospital and preparing for Holistic Massage exam had taken the toll for me. Now that Eid is over, Exam is over and the nitemare of visiting the hospital is over, I m back to start for my next massage course. I aim to complete the series of different types of massage and eventually open up a massage business on my own. I had infact now start offering others my service for swedish massage. Thank God, its seem that its quite good a response. So inorder to have a better knowledge and can offer more service, I had enrolled myself for Javanese and Post Natal Massage which will be starting on 20 November 2007.Do you think that I'm crazy to start the course that early and not even rest for a month or 2. My classmate from the previous course said that I'm crazy and do not know how to relax, but I guess if I relax too much or too long, I will lost interest or mood. Dont you all agree?.
