Beware of Coke Zero and Pepsi Max!
Last weekend my daughter forwarded to me a text message about the carcenogenic effects of Aspartame, a sugar substitute commonly present in Coke Zero and Pepsi Max--both low caloric beverages almost all of us love. I somehow heard about it before and ignored it but because warnings on consumption of the substance have been widely disseminated, I decided to do a little research about this very harmful substance we have been ingesting everyday. The following article is from www.mercola.com/article/aspartame/dangers.htm:Aspartame is, by far, the most dangerous substance on the market that is added to foods.Aspartame is the technical name for the brand names NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, and Equal-Measure. It was discovered by accident in 1965 when James Schlatter, a chemist of G.D. Searle Company, was testing an anti-ulcer drug.Aspartame was approved for dry goods in 1981 and for carbonated beverages in 1983. It was originally approved for dry goods on July 26, 1974, but objections filed by neuroscience researcher Dr John W. Olney and Consumer attorney James Turner in August 1974 as well as investigations of G.D. Searle's research practices caused the U.S. Food and Drug...
oh my prescription
Hello mylotters, here in our country the doctors prescription includes the brand name of the drugs, and generic names so most of the people nowadays opted to generic brand which cost less than the costly branded drugs but sometimes it may take longer to get well than taking the branded one. If in your case would you buy the branded medicines prescribed to you by the doctor which won't take longer to get well or you go for the generic drugs that is not costly but may take sometimes to be well?
Does a doctor's prescription drugs always good to your systems?
I do not always makes this a topic, but sometimes a prescription made by a doctor seems to make me feel dizzy, with a feeling of bigger visions, and my stomach is always like empty even if I take some foods before taking my medication.I just taught that my body was just adjusting the drugs, but days was over that I am hesitant to take the drug anymore, instead I drunk a water with 2 cups of sugar and consumed it all to detoxify my body, because I feel I am overdose to the drug or was over prescribed to its dosage,so I go back to my doctor and was given a good drug than what was prescribed before.
Do you take medecine without Doctors prescription..?
It'a a habit that many of us used to grow . They think they are experienced enough to have medication of their own.. and end up being in a more disastrous position.. Although sometimes it works.. But we should not do it.. Do you take medecine without Doctors prescription..?
PRESCRIPTION OF A BROKEN HEART.. i have some tips
The feeling of being hurt and broken because of a very drastic break up is hard. You will never know this feeling unless you tried. The FIRST thing you should understand that it's okay to feel what you feel. Grieving of a broken heart and crying about is completely normal. TALK. Talk about how you feel, tell you're friends about it. This will heal you and an advantage to make you feel better.ACCEPTANCE that you won't get back together anymore. Don't expect instead learn to pick up the pieces and love again.Lastly Don't ever blame yourself regarding the break up. Theirs a reason for everything and something happy and nice will come..^^, I hope this will help all of you.. this is what i did.. LOL
Why cant I have a lifetime Prescription??!!
This morning i had to call my doctor because my Prescription for my inhaler ran out. they informed me to call the pharmacy, which in turn said call my doctor and he should fax it!![em]angry[/em] Now heres what im wondering..why do I always have to do this only to get a prescription that lasts 3 or 4 refills? My emphyzema is not going to miraculously disappear and be cured EVER![em]rolleyes[/em] I will have it till I die and its probably whats going to get me[em]rasp[/em] So, why dont doctors give you a lifetime Prescription for such things? Im at a real lose here as to their thinking. what about you? dont you think this makes sense? Do you have something like this thats not going to go away and yet you hassle for the prescription every few months. carbonated beverages in 1983. It was originally approved for dry goods on July 26, 1974, but objections filed by neuroscience researcher Dr John W. Olney and Consumer attorney James Turner in August 1974 as well as investigations of G.D. Searle's research practices caused the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to put approval of aspartame on hold (December 5,...

Feeling blue? Can't shed those extra pounds? Suffering from high blood pressure or thyroid disorders? Then perhaps your neurotransmitters are out of balance. For example, were you aware that 50% of the population is Gaba dominant? A Gaba deficiency can cause ADHD, obesity, anxiety, hypertension and bi polar disorder, among other things. Finding your dominant neurotransmitter and keeping it balanced can fix many health issues: http://www.needs.com/product/NDNL-0507-01/l_Fish_Oil :http://naturalmedicine.suite101.com/article.cfm/natural_anxiety_relief_ltheanine_vs_gaba http://www.evitamins.com/product.asp?pid=1884 http://www.mcmanweb.com/omega3.html
Anyone reuse their prescription bottles or do just put them in the garbage
I try to reuse everything I possible can, and I use the prescription containers to store small things like buttons, hair pins etc. I was just curious if anyone else reuse the bottles if so what do you use them for.
Do you think Tylenol should be prescription only?
Awhile back I read an article that they were going to make Tylenol RX only. This upset me because I use Tylenol all the time. Do you think they are really going to do this? Do you think they should?
Waiting for your Prescription
I went to the UMMC in KL for a check up recently. Waiting to see the doctor was okay but to get my medicine, there was this huge crowd. It was to be a long, long wait. We all waited patiently or impatiently for our turn to collect the medicine. As this is a public hospital,I wonder whether the recession has got worse so much so many people have now turn to public hospitals instead. Things are not altogether cheap at government hospitals too. To get one test on your blood sample cost RM10 easily and seeing a consultant doctor at a lecturer level is RM5 and at the professor level;RM15. All in all, you may have to fork out up to some RM100 for both consultancy and medicine. Is this the same in your country?
