| | Is this bad for my health? | | I'm into body building & rigid cardio exercises right now. Thing is I'm taking a bit of vitamins and supplements. Vitamins--Extra strength multivitamins, Vit C 1G, Zinc 30mg. Supplements - L-Arganine, L-glutamine. Natural meds -Gingko Biloba & Green Tea tabs. I have researched on most and I'm taking just below the daiy requirement on them. Aside from the Multi-vitamins, I only take the other atleast 5X a week. I'm into diet, Lo-cal, Lo-carb, so I need the added Vitamins and nutrients. Is what I'm doing safe? Am I @ risk of damaging my liver or kidney?Pls. respond. You may be not in the medical field but I will still value your opinion.Thanks. | |
| | What's the ideal frequency to do bodybuilding in a week? | | Hi. I'm kinda new to bodybuilding. The last two months I have dropped 28 lbs and have conditioned my body with lots of endurance and cardio exercises. Right now I'm slowly increasing my diet to a high protien. Last two weeks I have also slowly pumped up my body building regimen. I do 30 minutes in my home gym using a 10 variety of weight regimens. After which I pump iron for another 15mins. Am I pushing it too much? I'm also taking supplements(L-Arganine 500mg and L-glutamine 500mg) and protien powder but so far progress is a bit slow. I do the home gym regimens daily while I pump iron every other. How do you guys do it? Any advices? | |

| | Benefits Of Being A Vegetarian | | well i saw many discussion ragarding vegiterian and non vegiterian food....i saw many opnions that vegiterian doesn't have much strength like non-veg person, vegiterian person can't get muscular body etc.... i think this article will help for veggies to get good health and non-veggies to think over their diet::
Other benefits that come along with this package include being friendlier to the environment, kinder to animals, increasing the chance of feeding starving populations, saving what's left of the rain forest and reducing the national medical-care cost. With all this in mind, how could you not even take it into consideration?
Let me begin by distinguishing between the different types of vegetarians. There are vegans (also known as strict vegetarians) who consume no animal products or animal byproducts whatsoever, lacto-ovo vegetarians who consume milk and eggs but no meat and pesco-vegetarians who consume fish as well as dairy. There are a few other subcategories, but for the purpose of this article, I will limit to just these three.
I know the first question that probably comes to mind is, "How will I get enough protein?" According to the PDCAAS (Protein...

| | frequency and duration of cardio-exercise for bodybuilders | | as far as frequency is concerned, 2 to 4 sessions of 20-40 mins. each for male bodybuilders in the off-season is recommended. if a contest is approaching, then gradually increase the activity to no more than two session per day, 7 days a week of 45 mins. each on the worst case for a short period of time. remember, it is those long hours of cardio-exercise that cause bodybuilders to look like POW's in the bodybuilding stage the day of the show. if you are doing 2 sessions of 45 minutes of cardio-exercise everyday make sure that you take plenty of glutamine (15-20 grams) in addition to having at least 7 meals per day.
for women, due to their higher concentration of estrogen in the blood and due to the fact that they have less muscle mass that male, more frequent cardio-exercise is benefial. therefore, off season plan of 4 to 5 sessions of 30 -45 mins. and if a contest approaches is highly recommended and gradually increase the activity to no more than two session per day, 7 days a week of 45 mins. each on the worst case.
