| | Poor Baby | | I'd like some help/suggestions/advice from all my lovely friends and soon to be friends here in mylot land. My 6 year old daughter Niamh has always been prone to UTI's since she was a baby, she has had a kidney scan and all is okay though she will most likely need another scan in the next few years just to ensure that things have not deteriorated! Anyway the other night the poor little lamb could not sleep as she was so sore and red down below and typically we had ran out of Sudocreme which is great for soothing! We got her an appt at the health centre the next morning and there was blood and protein in her urine but the are awaiting test results to make sure it is an infection but as she is not ill as she usually gets with a uti they think it could just be a bad case of thrush caused by the antibiotics she had to take at the beginning of the year to cure an ear infection! We decided not to start her on antibiotics as she is allergic to penicillin and we don't want her getting immune to other alternatives unneccesarily!
It breaks my heart that she has to go through this again, she has been given cream to treat thrush and it is helping but I would love to be able to cut all... | |
| | Having kids is not as easy as 'ok I'm ready' | | My new husband and I are totally ready to have children. We have been trying for some time now with no luck. I have tried everything from timing, body temperature to estimate ovulation. I have taken Geritol which a few people suggested as it readies your uterus for bearing children, and might I add, it was miserable to take because that stuff tastes NASTY!!! I have tried an herbal tincture that was supposed to increase fertility. I have done yoga and meditation. I have used prayer, energy filled stones, fertility symbolic jewelry, magnetic bracelets. I have taken ovulation tests. Still....nothing. I am scared to death to go to the doctors just to hear them say that we cannot have kids, or that I will need to take fertility drugs. I do not want to take fertility drugs. I'm not sure of what other options I have but I'm about out of ideas and am feeling depressed and helpless. Anybody have any other ideas? Please.....I'd love to hear them. | |
