Recommend Tried and Tested Calcium Citrate
I am currently on GNC calcium citrate for my daily calcium needs but they are HUGE and I've to eat 4 pills a day. I'm trying to look for a different brand with smaller pills or in liquid or chewable form. Please recommend if you have a good brand to recommend. Please don't recommend calcium carbonate because I've a bad tummy after I tried eating them for a month. Thanks in advance.
Have you ever eaten powder egg shells?
I was fixing my omelet for breakfast and I noticed a bit of eggshell got into the eggs. I didn't bother to take it out because I remember once reading that egg shells are the best source of calcium for our body! It's easy to digest and helps build bone density!I have never eaten them but I want to try. It's easy to turn them into powder too. Just wash out the egg white but leave the membrane inside because that has a lot of nutrients in it. Let the shells air dry on a paper towel. When they are dry break them into fine pieces then eventually powder. It's good to mix them with lemon juice but I am not sure of the exact measurements. It makes calcium citrate. Have you ever eaten the egg shell for calcium? Would you?
is it safe to take calcium supplements while pregnant?
i am 5 months pregnant with twins. with twins, i was told to get 6-8 calcium servings per day. every time i drink milk or have any other dairy product, phlegm builds up in my throat and i vomit. i called my doctor about this but i can't get in to see her for another 3 weeks. is it safe for me to take calcium supplements instead while i'm pregnant?
